When will this be on TV?


After receiving numerous requests from Voetspore followers to join the Voetspore team, Johan Badenhorst started Voetspore Safaris. It is touring company that offers several designed tours that clients can experience in their own vehicles accompanied by Voetspore members as guides. Therefore, no footage of a Voetspore Safaris tour will be recorded or broadcast. Photos of the tour will be placed on our social media platforms.

Does Johan Badenhorst go on all the tours?


Johan is primarily a journalist and producer of television programmes and documentaries yet accompanies tours whenever possible.

Must you have your own 4x4 vehicle?


Yes, a 4x4 vehicle is compulsory. Voetspore Safaris do have vehicles available to rent.

Can children come with?


Everyone is welcome on our Safaris tours. Special rates for children are applicable on each tour.

What travel insurance do I need?


First consult with your insurer whether you are covered. You can also consult with companies like Zenith and Tuff Stuff.

Are there any job vacancies available?


There are no job vacancies available at Voetspore Safaris. But if an opportunity opens up, we will advertise it on social media.

Do you need a visa to travel to Angola?


All South African passport holders do not need a visa to travel to Angola.

Must I bring my own food?


We take care of all the catering. You must just bring your own snacks and beverages.

Can I travel alone, or must I have a passenger with me on tour?


Yes, indeed you can travel alone, we shall provide the company.

How do I know my vehicle is sufficiently equipped for a Voetspore Safaris?


All Voetspore Safaris clients receive a free vehicle inspection by the Voetspore 4x4 Fitment centre.

Must I take malaria medication?


Each tour is different and some pass-through minimal risk malaria areas. If you feel comfortable to drink malaria medication, we recommend the following:

• Lariam/ Mefliam: to be taken once a week. This product is known to have side effects like hallucinating.

• Doxycycline: to be taken daily.

Abovementioned SHOULD BE TAKEN AFTER A MEAL.

Should you contract malaria, it is recommended that you take Coartem.
